VTV / 僵视

VTV is an installation that blurs the line between reality and fiction; in this case, transporting audience members to a world in which vampires walk the earth alongside humans. However, rather than portraying the undead as horrific demons and bloodthirsty monsters, VTV tries to humanize them through a number of different methods.

VTV is composed of three “vampire-centric” channels: a medical channel, a music channel, and a history channel. While the history channel and music channel try to do the work of establishing the context for the project by explaining the history of vampirism and showing modern depictions of vampires, the interview and medical channels act as an entry point into their “cursed” existence, as they provide “real” stories of the trials one must face as a vampire in the modern world.
